I am so happy to be sharing all of this session with you guys! As I was looking through Instagram one day, I came across Sami's (@studiobaze) instagram post announcing a free styled shoot! I've been really trying to build the perfect wedding portfolio lately, so I couldn't resist. The styled shoot took place in a cute studio in Downtown Guelph, and we utilized both the studio, and the gorgeous snowflakes happening outside!
The best part of workshops or styled shoots is meeting fellow photographers. I find sometimes the industry can be a little too competitive, so it is great to create amazing relationships with other people in your industry! I made some new friendships, and pushed myself outside the box to try new things. It was such a fun experience!
The lighting in the studio was WAAYYY different than I am used to. It pushed me to be creative with my settings and angles. I tried so hard find new ways to use the lighting to my advantage. Indoor portraits were fun and unique! I love how they turned out!
For those who haven't been to Downtown Guelph before, there is a GORGEOUS old church that sits at the top of a hill. There are so many cute stores and cozy restaurants. It is definitely a place to check out. We took the couple up to the top of the church to overlook the downtown strip. Afterwards we ventured down to the record shop to browse and have some fun. I love using local spots to create unique backdrops and memories at the same time.
